Assam State is reeling under heavy floods for the last few weeks. Already more than 60 people have lost their lives and many more are displaced.
State Committee Assam with support from our central office organised a social identification program today in the Kakhoria Gaon Area of Sivasagar District wherein essential food and household items were distributed to around 170 families.
Our appreciations to comrades Amal Saikia, Dhruba Jyoti Chetia, Sumit Basfore, Mousumi Balmiki, Monuj Gogoi (Daily wager, Nazira) who took great pains to organise the event for two days. Com Gaurav Sharma, Joint Secretary, AIBEA and Chairman, CBEU, Assam State Committee who travelled with a team of comrades of APBEF to attend the flood relief camp deserve special mention.
Various other camps were also organised under the aegis of APBEF and affiliate units. Comrades are doing a yeomen service.
